Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh strawberries, washed and dried

  • 6 oz. dark chocolate (or milk chocolate, if preferred)

  • 2 Tbsp. Meridan Hill Maple Farm Organic Maple Syrup

  • 2 Tbsp. heavy cream

  • 1 Tbsp. butter

  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt (plus extra for garnish)

  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1: Melt the Chocolate

  1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl.

  2. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth

Step 2: Dip the Strawberries

  1. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating it evenly.

  2. Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  3. Let them sit at room temperature or refrigerate for 15 minutes until the chocolate sets.

Step 3: Make the Maple Caramel Drizzle

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the maple syrup, heavy cream, butter, and sea salt.

  2. Stir continuously for 3-5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool for a minute.

Step 4: Drizzle & Garnish

  1. Drizzle the maple caramel over the chocolate-covered strawberries using a spoon or piping bag.

  2. Lightly sprinkle extra sea salt on top for an added flavor boost.

  3. Allow everything to set before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor and texture.

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to help the chocolate adhere properly.
